R410A

The most common refrigerant in residential aircon systems installed in the last 10 to 15 years. R410A operates at higher pressures than older refrigerants and provides efficient cooling performance. The majority of Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Toshiba, LG, and Panasonic systems in Singapore use R410A.

R32

A newer, more environmentally friendly refrigerant that is becoming increasingly common in newer models, particularly from Daikin and Panasonic. R32 has a lower global warming potential than R410A and is slightly more energy-efficient. If your aircon was purchased in the last 3 to 5 years, it may use R32.

R22 (Phasing Out)

An older refrigerant used in systems installed before 2010. R22 is being phased out globally as of 2026 due to its ozone-depleting properties. Step 1: System Assessment

Step 2: Leak Detection

Before adding any gas, we inspect the system for leaks. Common leak points include:

• Flare connections - where copper pipes connect to the indoor and outdoor units
